At Benutium Bed & Breakfast Eileen chooses to buy meat  from Kirkcudbright butchers which are supplied by local farms. Smoked haddock and kippers are supplied by the Kirkcudbright fresh fish shop, ensuring excellence in flavour and quality.  The lush pastures of Dumfries and Galloway and the sheltered harbour of Kirkcudbright,  provide Benutium Bed and Breakfast with some wonderful local produce. South West Scotland is not only rich in scenic variety but also in grazing, producing excellent beef, lamb and venison. The scallop fishing fleet, in Kirkcudbright, stocks our fishmonger, Polarpak, with monkfish, cod, plaice, Dover sole and sea bass in addition to scallops and the smaller queenies. The River Dee is a source of wild salmon . Castle Douglas is the Food Town of Dumfries and Galloway and is the centre for specialist local food outlets.
